Inspiration

The Tavelle Pendant Lamp takes its shape from a market tent in a small coastal town. A single pole lifts the center, the canopy slopes down from a narrow peak, then drops into short straight sides, and every panel is stitched to the next so the seams show as faint ridges. Here the canopy is a loose weave of natural plant fiber, thin enough to see light through, sewn in panels over a faceted frame, with a black socket cap at the peak where the pole would be. When the light is on, the fiber glows a warm sand color, the weave shows as a fine grid, and the seams stand out as darker lines running down to the open base.

Which size should I choose?

Dia 24cm/9.4″ for a woven pendant light over a kitchen island, hung in a row of two or three, or beside the bed; 30cm/11.8″ for a breakfast nook, entryway or bedroom; 45cm/17.7″ as a natural fiber pendant for a dining room over a 4- to 6-seat table; 60cm/23.6″ for a long dining table or a living room with a high ceiling.

Can I adjust the hanging height?

Yes. The 150cm/59.1″ cord is adjustable at install. Over a table or kitchen island, plan for about 30–36″ between the surface and the bottom of the shade.

What kind of light does it give?

The included 3000K warm bulb lights the sheer fiber from inside, so the whole shade glows, while the open base sends light down onto the table. It works as ambient light; add recessed lights where you need brighter task lighting.

How do I clean the fiber shade?

Switch off and let it cool, then dust the shade with a soft brush or a vacuum on low suction. Keep water and spray cleaners off the natural fiber.
